Valerie L. Williams, RN, BSN, MBA

Valerie has thirty years of progressive management and operations experience in both hospital and medical group settings.  She began her career at the University of South Alabama Medical Center on a surgical floor and transitioned to emergency nursing when she relocated to Winter Haven Hospital. During her tenure as the Emergency Room Supervisor at Winter Haven she was an adjunct instructor for the EMT/Paramedic program at Polk Community College and served on the Red Cross Board for disaster preparedness.

From 1991-2006, University Community Health provided Valerie with diverse clinical and leadership positions. These positions included mid-management within women’s health, as a risk manager and as the senior clinical analyst developing expertise in clinical informatics development and deployment along with optimization of clinical operations through work flow analysis and employee engagement.

Most recently she was the senior clinical administrator for University of South Florida Health Care, a multispecialty academic group practice, demonstrating strong physician relations skills, and engaging as a team builder/collaborator with a track record of improving the patient experience. Her responsibilities included clinical workflow development, financial performance, development of mid-level clinical leaders, HIMS, clinical quality initiatives, and oversight of the patient access center.

Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, and a Masters of Business from the University of South Florida.
