Jeffery M. D’Agostino

Jeff’s 33 year career and demonstrated track record of success centers around humble leadership, continuous performance improvement, integration and growth. In his health system based physician group leadership roles, he established vision, engaged stakeholders, developed strategic platforms, improved financial and operational performance, built positive cultures, and delivered results all in support of the organization’s strategic initiatives balancing physicians and the health system as an integrated whole. Jeff’s enthusiastic approach thoughtfully embraces change. His inclusive and engaging style motivates others toward common objectives and encourages dialogue around the “tough questions”. Jeff has an engaging grass roots data driven approach to involve stakeholders yielding optimal results.

With years of progressive leadership and management experience in integrated healthcare delivery systems; academic health systems; and hospital systems, Jeff offers a wide scope of leadership and management skills. In all of his roles, Jeff’s experience working with physician integration and alignment while developing and implementing solutions that meet strategic business goals brings an extraordinary set of skills to an integrated delivery system. He is highly analytical with exceptional business acumen and has honed his skills in strategy, finance, patient access, operations, and physician/hospital integration. He is experienced in the process of creating operational excellence in organizations and developing/executing strategy. He is a leader of positive cultural change. Jeff spent over thirteen years with the Greenville Health System. His role grew and expanded throughout his time with GHS. He has the impressive distinction of having worked side-by-side with their physician leader to build GHS’ physician network and health system in Greenville including MD360, the first urgent care network launched by GHS.  Jeff was extremely successful at GHS demonstrating his ability to partner with physicians and integrating the physicians and hospital. He played a key role in establishing, building, aligning and integrating the physician group into the health system. He was an engaged, respected leadership team partner regularly engaged with GHS strategic initiatives. Additionally Jeff was hired as MUSC Physicians first COO and later his role was expanded as the MUSC Medical Center’s first CAO for Ambulatory services. These leadership roles tasked him with optimization of the faculty practice plan clinics, patient access and integration of all health system clinics onto a single platform. Jeff established the health system’s first ambulatory oversight committee to highlight financial and operational performance with emphasis on patient, provider, and employee satisfaction; patient access; Epic ambulatory and clinical space optimization as a means to underpin strategic initiatives with best practice operations. During his tenure at every organization, Jeff developed strong collaborative relations with partnering departments and with Physicians and Administration resulting in business development and growth initiatives while identifying and implementing performance improvement opportunities. Additionally, Jeff led patient access, patient satisfaction, practice management/optimization, culture development, mergers & acquisitions, revenue cycle management, compliance, budgeting, financial analysis, ambulatory services, clinical space management and oversaw over 1 million square feet of medical office space/development.  Jeff’s success continues within Mission Medical Associates, the employed provider group of Mission Health System. Jeff’s tenure at MMA has yielded millions in financial improvements; seen the launch of Mission My Care Now (extended hours walk in clinics and improved patient access; launched numerous operational/quality improvement initiatives; and has materially enhanced the culture of MMA’s practices.

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree as well as Masters of Business Administration from West Virginia University. Additionally, he has completed Executive Education courses in leadership at Northwestern’s Kellogg School. Jeff is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
